The company and its related companies, comprising 585 subsidiaries and 165 affiliates and joint ventures as of March 31, 2025, conduct an automotive business along with financial and other businesses, which form three segments. The automotive business designs, manufactures, and sells vehicles such as sedans, minivans, compacts, SUVs, and trucks and related parts and accessories; vehicles are produced mainly by the company, Hino Motors, and Daihatsu, with some production entrusted to companies such as Toyota Auto Body and overseas to entities such as Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, while parts are made by the company and others including Denso. These products are sold to customers in Japan through dealers nationwide such as Toyota Mobility Tokyo, with direct sales to some large customers, and overseas through sales companies such as Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., with major products including the LS, NX, Crown, Corolla, RAV4, Yaris, Hilux, Camry, Tacoma, Land Cruiser, Alphard, Prius, Aqua, Noah, Voxy, and others. The financial business mainly provides financing and vehicle leasing to support sales of the company's products, offered by Toyota Finance in Japan and Toyota Motor Credit Corporation overseas, while the other business includes information and communications operations. Other principal companies include Toyota Motor North America and Toyota Motor Europe, which oversee regional manufacturing and sales as well as public relations and research, Toyota Financial Services, which oversees the financial companies, and Woven by Toyota, which develops software-centered mobility technologies.
